IMPORTANT DOCUMENTATION
This Outgoing Tenant left a review for RentWerx on Yelp and Google. Rather than respond on those platforms with only information in writing, we wanted to create a page just for them so that any future landlords or employers will get to know this situation a bit better with the complete story. As noted by the reviewers profile picture on their YELP profile, we have discovered that this OUTGOING TENANT falsified their application and lease agreement. In their application and lease agreement, they indicated they had a 4 year old English Bulldog. The dog pictured on Brian Ostarticki’s profile is an American Pit Bull. A fighting dog bred to attack and kill other dogs or large animals. Knowing this type of pet is not allowed, Ostarticki and Hurdt lied on their application intentionally deceiving the landlord and placing all parties involved into a very bad situation. Should that un-authorized animal cause harm to someone else, the landlord and RentWerx would have been exposed to expensive litigation – not to mention that someone could have been seriously hurt or worse. We do not take this lightly as we understand the damage Pit Bull pets improperly supervised will cause by bad pet owners.
There is a counter point to nearly every one of the Outgoing Tenants allegations that show they do not understand the laws of renting a home. The landlord has every right to stop by and visit the home at any time. RentWerx as a third party property management company cannot prevent that, just like we cannot prevent a tenant from taking out their frustrations on a public site where anyone can say anything.
In addition, these Outgoing Tenants made late payments to their lease agreement and were forced to pay late fees.
The outgoing tenant also left numerous light bulbs burned out in the home, a never changed air-filter (as shown in our inspection report included here), and left the home needing lawn service. In addition, they had an HOA violation for failure to follow the rules of the Homeowners Association.
Our evidence indicates these are not the type of quality tenants they make out to be. They have become what is known in the industry as “professional renters” who know how to game the system and attempt to extort and blackmail property management companies with online reviews. We attempted to work with them going to great lengths to resolve this matter, but we are forced to respond to fake online reviews.
This is why we respond to these reviews on our site. This way, we can place all of the supporting documentation online for all to see.
After reviewing this information, we will always leave it up to the reviewer to decide if they would like us to add to this page on their behalf, or if they would like us to remove it after they remove their false and one sided review. This seems to be the only fair way to respond to false one sided reviews that is intentionally attempting to cause RentWerx harm in the market place.
We encourage any Landlord or Future Employer that reads this to think twice about working with Brian Ostarticki or Margo Hurdt.
