- Provide that Broker with a written notice of cancellation – the below form would be a good template or you can use an email or letter.
- Be sure to get the correspondence acknowledged
- If there are any cancellation fees involved, ask or negotiate those to be waived. DO NOT be coerced into staying with a bad property manager over a perceived cancellation fee!
- Ask for all documents for the entire life of your working relationship to include the following:
- All Lease Agreements
- Tenant Applications and Contact Information
- Current Owner Statements – Current Tenant Ledgers
- Any and all keys or remotes to the home
