After signing up for one of our property management plans, what do you do next?
Insurance – “Additionally Insured”
Call your insurance company and let them know that your home will be a rental property. Also, add RentWerx LLC additionally insured per our management agreement. RentWerx requires owners to carry a policy of minimum $500,000 in General Liability Limit.
Homestead
County tax assessment entity and let them know you will no longer be living there as a homestead. Consult with a tax advisor.
HOA and Vendors
Let your HOA know you will be renting the home and add us as a point of contact. Contact electric, garbage, cable, etc – to have the accounts changed over to the tenant as necessary.
Staging your home for showings
Make sure you have the home ready for showing.
